New sources of oil and gas are crucial to meeting the world’s increasing energy demand – rising by one-third through 2035, according to the IEA World Energy Outlook 2013. Technological breakthroughs and techniques are opening up avenues for new types of resources, such as light tight oil and ultra-deepwater fields, that were until recently considered too difficult or expensive to access. Our industry is on the precipice of innovation that is enabling energy companies to keep pace with rapid change and take full advantage of new discoveries worldwide.
Global Footprint
For over 25 years we have supported our oil and gas customers around the world to provide for the global energy demand. We understand the challenges they face, and we’re committed to helping them explore, drill and produce with greater accuracy, faster time to first oil and reduced risk. As the world’s largest independent oil and gas software provider, we provide solutions that integrate the entire exploration and production workflow – including seismic processing and imaging, interpretation and modeling, formation evaluation and reservoir geophysics, and well planning and drilling.
Our software is in use in over 100 countries, and our global network of support and training offices are strategically spread across more than 25 countries. Following Apax Partners’ acquisition of the company in 2012, Paradigm has a broader backing to accelerate its global growth and continue to develop market-leading intellectual property.
Advanced Science for Everyone
We are doing this by making our solutions broadly available to users from the specialist to the generalist, for both conventional and unconventional reservoir plays. As an example, we unveiled Paradigm 14, the new flagship platform for our product suite, at this year’s SEG Annual Meeting and Exposition. With this release, we’ve taken an open platform approach in designing a truly unified application with a convenient user interface and highly automated workflows. Applications will begin rolling out at the end of this year and continue through 2014.
The Paradigm application suite integrates advanced science leadership in geophysics, petrophysics, and geology, as well as reservoir and drilling engineering. We are focused on providing solutions that combine high-science, product integration and interconnectivity, and multi-user collaboration.
A New Resource for Geoscience Trends
In keeping with our leadership position in science and technology, the Paradigm blog will feature insights from our technical experts about the newest geoscience trends in seismic imaging, interpretation and characterization for unconventional, carbonate and subsalt challenges. We will also dive into success stories from our customers who are using Paradigm technologies to meet the increasing complexity of asset challenges.
Our goal is to give customers deeper insight into the subsurface. That insight is why more than 700 oil and gas companies around the globe rely on Paradigm’s exploration and production technologies to see more, share more and produce more. I invite you to return to the Paradigm blog often and tap into our wealth of expertise in advanced science and best practices for taking advantage of Paradigm solutions. And let us know if there are topics of most interest to you. We are open to your feedback.
